MEDIA REVIEWS

Here I'll review medias I've consumed, with my own criteria in mind

My Hero Academia

Storyline: 2/5
Pacing: 2/5
Characters: 2/5
Visuals: 5/5
Music/voice acting: 4/5
Gameplay (if applicable):
Final thoughts: MHA had great potential as a media that criticised the current public security issues, how heroes are basically glorified cops, how your physical apperance sometimes matters more to the general public rather than your actions.. but somehow it failed at doing ALL of that and instead focused on making cool fighting scenes over and over. Most characters have the depth of a paper plate, and had unnoticeable character development throught the entire 8 seasons, which felt like filler half of the time. Multiple side-storylines were abandoned halfway and never truly finished, which at a certain point just turns frustrating. OVERRATED.

The Amazing Digital Circus

Storyline: 4/5
Pacing: 3/5
Characters: 3/5
Visuals: 5/5
Music/voice acting: 5/5
Gameplay (if applicable):
Final thoughts: Ok. So. I've been watching TADC ever since the pilot came out, as I knew of goose's work b4 that. While the concept of the story itself is very generic (stuck in a digital world), the context behing it had great build up* (*important word) and hooked me in since the beginning. Most characters are shallow as a plate and where veeery underdeveloped. As for episode 9, i'll be pretending it was non canon because honestly wtf. My final rating does NOT include episode 9.

- RATING: 4/5 (EXCLUDING EP 9) -
